Connect with key growth markets at Energy from Waste virtual 2021.

The Energy from Waste virtual conference is bringing together speakers and attendees from many of the world’s most exciting regions for global growth in waste to energy. And this year the conference is working in partnership with the UK Government Department for International Trade on some of these regions, most notably Central and Eastern Europe.

The Energy from Waste conference provides attendees with outstanding opportunities to connect with developers, investors and suppliers, with specific regional sessions and round table discussion and networking opportunities to follow up and discuss requirements in more detail.

Key regions being covered by the conference include –

Yuri Schmitke A. Belchior Tisi

Brazil, where legislation is now in place to direct waste from landfill to waste treatment.   Brazil is looking at developing a number of energy from waste plants around key cities, and with 36 mtpa required to be diverted from dumps or landfills by 2024, this is a sizeable potential market. Speakers from Brazil include Yuri Schmitke A. Belchior Tisi, President of The Brazilian Association for Energy Recovery from Waste (ABREN) and President of Waste to Energy Research and Technology Council (WtERT - Brazil).

Martin Huba

Slovakia, where the Upper Nitra coal region of Slovakia is undergoing tremendous change, with over 200 transformation projects on the list, compiled by the regional municipalities, representatives, and entrepreneurs.  Martin Huba, Head of Implementing Unit for the Transformation of the Upper Nitra region, and a speaker at Energy from Waste virtual 2021, explains these are “covering also municipal waste processing (and other waste to energy projects) and transformation of coal-fired power plants and related environmental issues.”

Australia, where landfill tax, reduced exports to China and an interest in reliable base-load energy, amongst other factors, are creating a positive environment for developing further projects.  Hear from Ed Nicholas of Tribe Infrastructure Group on the Australian waste to energy market and it’s growth potential from an investor / developer view point.

Energy from Waste virtual 2021 provides an outstanding opportunity – and the most important one of 2021 - to connect with industry colleagues from across the globe.  Experts in technology, financing and project development will share their knowledge and insights on all aspects of waste to energy development.
